Leisure Activities:
Whether you stroll through our gardens, relax by the salmon
stream or venture out, Polrode Mill Cottage provides a tranquil
setting from which to base your holiday.
Whatever the season, Cornwall has much to offer from the rugged seas
of winter, the snowdrops of spring, followed by primroses,
daffodils, bluebells and then the stately rhododendrons heralding
the start of summer.
Enjoy the many sandy beaches and coves or beautiful walks of the
National Trust coastline, the Camel Estuary or Bodmin Moor. The
region has been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty
and offers a wealth of interest to ornithologists, ramblers and
those who love the countryside and the rugged beauty of the Cornish
coast.
Close by are the unspoilt fishing villages of Padstow, Port Isaac
and Boscastle. The Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the
house and garden at Lanhydrock, Pencarrow and Prideaux Place and the mythical castle at Tintagel are only a short drive away.
